Fileize is a System Utilities software developed by The Cogit Network. After our trial and test, the software was found to be official, secure and free. Here is the official description for Fileize: Fileize renames selected files so that they do not contain spaces. Fileize will also attempt to modify the case of each word in the file's name, so that the words are distinguishable when the spaces are removed. Extensions will be converted to lower case. Files whose names would not change will be skipped. For each renamed file, Fileize shows the original file name and the new file name. These file names are displayed in a table. Fileize puts the original files into the Windows Recycle Bin, in case they are needed. If an unexpected error occurs and prevents a file from being renamed, a copy of the original file can be found in the 'FileizeData' folder within the 'My Documents' folder. Renaming files will not alter timestamps.
File prefix and suffix can be specified. Pressing F8 will set the suffix to the current date in the form yymmdd. Files are initially sorted by descending date of modification, instead of alphabetically.
